Weapons Of Praise, Worship And Dance

by Sep 11, 2019

Praising and worshiping God during a time of hardship, difficulty, or crisis can be the last option on our minds, especially if all doors seem to be closed up around us. We may feel alone, disappointed, or let down by others close to us, and the cry of our heart could be, “why me? I did everything I was meant to do.” It could even be a job you applied for or a contract that did not go through as expected.
It is during these difficult times when all else seem impossible that we need to praise and worship God. Praise and worship is another form of spiritual weapon we can use to overcome during difficult circumstances. Praising God, when we go through tough times or trials, reveals our love and devotion to God. It is a declaration of our trust in God that He is bigger than our problems, and He will work all things out for good for us.
I will not be able to put all my praises and thanksgiving in one blog post because God’s goodness in my life is immeasurable and uncountable. Just like other Christians, sometimes I do not get answers to some of my prayers right away or when I expect them. There are times I ponder on events and situations when I lay my head on my pillow and talk to God about those things that are on my heart. At the end of that conversation, I say to Him, “sometimes I do not understand your ways because your ways and thoughts are different from mine, and a thousand years to you is like a day and a day a thousand years, but you have never failed me. I am holding on to you as a young child holds on tight to the parent’s hands for love, security, protection, and assurance.”
In my walk with God, I have learned to give Him my praise, worship, and I dance before Him. I don’t have to wait until I get to church before I glorify His name. I go on the sea of glass (Rev.4) anytime I want to, and I declare that the Lord my God is the only true God! He is the all-powerful God. He is the same yesterday, today, and always. When He closes a door, nobody can open it; when He opens a door, nobody can close it. He alone fights the battles that my parents cannot fight for me. He is the solid rock on which I stand. He is my comforter, my shield, and my strong Defender. When He sends me on a mission, He backs me up with His power and might. Even in my weaknesses, He is still patient with me and compassionate toward me. When men say, “it is finished, there is no way out for her.” He laughs at them. He says, “I am just beginning, I am the Defender of the weak and the Lord of Heaven’s armies, and I am her Papa. I will always make a way where there seems to be no way; I will fight for her.”
I am sure that as you look at your life, you have many things to thank God for, even if you feel like there is no way out for you. There is always a way out with God, don’t hesitate to go to Him, you don’t have to wait till you get to a quiet place. You can commune with God in your heart, no matter where you are. He is the giver of life and strength. His shoulders are always available for us to rest our head-on, and sometimes we may wet His shoulders with our tears, and He will never complain (Psalm 56:8).
There is nothing too hard for our God; He makes a difficult task achievable. He is the Unquestionable God, the Unchanging God, and the Covenant God. He does not sleep or slumber. He is my Keeper, my Shade, and my Confidant. I bow before you, the Lord of Heaven’s armies and worship you with all my might, soul, and strength. I say, the Lord my God is Holy, there is no one like Him! Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but I choose to trust in the name of the Lord Almighty! Hallelujah!

If you would like to be able to Ask Jesus questions like we do in many of our blogs and have Him answer back to you personally, we can show you how.  Please see our foundational teaching on 4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice.  If you already know how to have these conversations, join the discussion and share what Jesus is saying to you!
